What do you focus on?
I focus on representing and providing strategic advice to clients in connection with regulatory, compliance and corporate governance-related matters, particularly within the financial services industry.
What do you see on the horizon?
We have witnessed a spate of behavior that reflected poorly on corporate culture in this country with numerous organizations undergoing a corporate reset. The corporate governance landscape has shifted and on the horizon, employee activism will continue to accelerate and corporate boards will elevate the discussion with respect to corporate culture, its primacy, and equally important, the role it plays in risk management and mitigation.
Pam is a seasoned attorney with experience in both the private and public sectors and is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) with the Compliance Certification Board. She conducts internal investigations as well as cultural audits and advises clients on risk management and public policy issues. She also provides diversity and inclusion training as well as professional coaching on various topics including sexual harassment, elimination of bias, hiring and firing employees, maternity and FMLA leave, race and gender discrimination, LGBTQ rights and accommodations for disabled veterans.
Prior to joining Griesing Law, Pam held several executive roles at consulting and financial services firms in the region. Most recently, she served as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for an information technology consulting firm. Pam also held a similar role as Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer for an institutional asset firm where she oversaw the firm’s legal and compliance program, subject to the rules and regulations promulgated under the Investment Advisor Act of 1940. In addition, she built a wealth of experience advising clients on public policy, comparative governance structures and foreign investment laws and regulations while serving as a Principal at two other consulting firms. Pam’s public sector experience includes her appointed position as the Deputy Director of Aviation, Marketing & Governmental Affairs for the Philadelphia Airport System where she was responsible for the airport’s government and regulatory affairs as well as air service marketing initiatives.
Outside of the Firm, Pam has shared her business and legal expertise while serving as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University’s Fox School of Management. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Arthur Ross Gallery and previously held roles on the Boards of numerous civic organizations in the region, including the Philadelphia International Airport Advisory Board, Atwater Kent Museum, the Center for Emerging Visual Artists and International House, among many others.
