What do you focus on?
I focus my practice on defending employers in litigation arising out of claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation, and representing employers in breach of contract, trade secret, non-compete and other business related disputes.
What do you see on the horizon?
Employers will begin to see even more compliance and litigation issues related to today’s ever changing and expanding technology, including discovery targeted at smart phones and other mobile devices, ADA nondiscrimination requirements for websites, and increased privacy concerns as the growth of mobile devices and social media continues to explode.
Ed is a litigator with over 15 years of experience representing a wide range of clients, including both public and privately-held corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and individuals, in all types of business disputes. He focuses his practice defending employers in litigation arising out of claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation, and representing employers in breach of contract, trade secret, non-compete and other business related disputes. Ed has argued or tried cases in federal and, state courts and private arbitrations.
Prior to working for the Firm, Ed worked for two firms on the AmLaw 200, where he represented clients in wide array of complex, commercial litigation matters, including disputes involving employment law, ERISA, securities, antitrust, insurance coverage and reinsurance. In those roles, Ed handled all stages of litigation preparation including serving as first chair on many civil trials. Ed also has experience representing pharmaceutical companies in product liability litigations and was responsible for overseeing the facilitation of large document productions. On the transactional side, he represented corporate clients in various merger and acquisition matters, including due diligence review of companies and review of complex documents such as commercial real estate leases and loan agreements. Ed drafted and negotiated asset purchase agreements and related ancillary agreements, corporate governance documents, employment agreements, product supply agreements and distribution agreements.
Outside of the Firm, Ed is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s Middle Market Action Team Steering Committee. The Middle Market Action Team assists and advocates for businesses with $10 million to $1 billion in annual revenue in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
